It’s eyes down at one of Soho’s busiest boozers, The Duke of Wellington, as they prepare to let the drag queens rule the roost and present a very special slice of Rock and Roll Bingo.

So this week we decided to invite hosts Mary Mac and Frankie Fantastique to have a fiddle with our balls here at QX (they’re not very gentle either) picking a selection of numbers, from the 1-90 of Bingo , with each number corresponding to a TOTALLY random question…

MARY MAC

28: Lady Gaga, Adele or Rihanna?
Lady Gaga, as you just never know what’s coming next with her, and I like that in any artist.

15: An oldie but a goodie. Which five cabaret performers would you invite to a dream dinner party?
RuPaul – She’s fieeeeerce.
Lily Savage – A true British drag legend.
Danny La Rue – I’ve always wanted to meet him.
Trevor Ashley – Basically it’d be like inviting Liza Minnelli.
And, of course, the one and only Bette Rinse, as she’s my ultimate favourite.

89: What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I’d have to say being part of the Sky TV series: Louie Spence’s Showbusiness; and also performing on the main stage at the 2012 World Pride in Trafalgar Square to thousands of people, as one of the original Supreme Fabulettes.

26: Given the chance, would you rather appear on Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother or RuPaul’s Drag Race?
I’d go on Big Brother. I like to think I get on with most people but I can also argue like a trooper, too, so if someone crossed me in the house, the lashes would be off and they wouldn’t know where to look.

7: What makes you happy?
I’m most happy when I know I’ve done a good job, either in regards to my show or simply cooking a meal. I always strive to do the best I can in everything I do.

90: Put your iPod on shuffle, what are the first three songs to play?
Rudimental – ‘Not Giving In’
Earth, Wind & Fire – ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’
Nena – ‘99 Red Balloons’

53: What will your autobiography be called?
A Hole Lot Of Haggis.

40: What’s your most memorable childhood moment?
Probably when I was thrown off the back of a bike whilst wearing a pair of roller boots. I thought I was quite the stunt child back then but this was one stunt too far. I still have the scars to prove it.

FRANKIE FANTASTIQUE

11: What emotion best describes you and why?
I’d say I’m quite a temperamental person, so it’s difficult to say. Generally, I’m friendly and chatty; but be wary, my sarcastic side is like a freshly sharpened knife! You won’t know it at the time but I’ll cut you.

2: If you could be one other drag queen for a day, who would you be and why?
Detox Icunt from RuPaul’s Drag Race. I’d love her wig collection more than anything. She’s playful, colourful and a gobby queen. Totally my cuppa tea.

88: Who’s your idol?
The way Bette Rinse can work a crowd really inspires me. On or offstage, she is a legend of mammoth proportions.

90: Put your iPod on shuffle, what are the first three songs to play?
Mr Black & Blue – ‘Bad Habit’
Azealia Banks – ‘Barbie Shit’
The Cube Guys & Luciana – ‘Jump’

50: Who’s the most famous person you’ve met?
I accidentally saw Rihanna shopping in New York over the road from the Saturday Night Live studios. Does that count? It was a pretty amazing experience.

7: What makes you happy?
Men, money and a mocha. My three M’s!

45: What’s your favourite piece of drag?
My new bum padded underwear. I go from Cameron Diaz to Jennifer Lopez in the time it takes me to pull up my pants.

13: Who’s your secret celebrity crush?
Chris Hemsworth all the way! He could de-Thor me anytime.

MATTHEW EVANS: General Manager, Duke of Wellington

“Rock and Roll Bingo shares it’s rules with the classic bingo game, whilst interspersing all genres of music, from Gloria Gaynor right through to Lady Gaga. It’s always a fun-filled night with a shed-load of camp prizes to be won along the way.

For our event at the Welly, Frankie Fantastique and Mary Mac will be on hand as the true queens of Soho they are. And as it’s all in aid of Cancer Research, I’m sure if everyone fills up Mary’s bucket with enough cash we’ll persuade her to sing a few big musical numbers, too.”

• Rock and Roll Bingo hosted by Mary Mac and Frankie Fantastique in aid of Cancer Research UK is at The Duke of Wellington (77 Wardour Street, Soho, W1D 6QA) on Wednesday 30th October, from 8pm.
