Boys On Film has built itself a reputation as one of the most significant gay cinematic canons in the industry. Whether it’s introspective lakeside rendezvous’, or muffled shags in nightclub toilets, they’ve provided a sexy, fun, dramatic backdrop to mainstream queer cinema.
Released by Peccadillo Pictures, the periodic short film collection is now on its 14th edition, and still going strong. It features 9 new artful cinematic shorts, ranging from scintillatingly sexual to titillatingly twee. There’s some dark tragedy, clashing of classes, concealed desire, and hedonistic humour. All sounds a bit like a night out in Vauxhall.
Here’s our pick of the films on offer.
