Queer hip-hop kids R & She have long since established themselves as one of the best gay nights in the city!

Their last event was their fourth birthday and it was testament to how popular they were. It was LIT! Even Destiny’s Child couldn’t get tickets! Well actually, Beyonce and Kelly got tickets but didn’t tell Michelle #PoorMichelle

Anyway the vibe’s great and the music is fucking AWWWESOME. It’s the queens of hip-hop from the 90’s to now. Ciara! Queen Latifah! Eve! Lil’ Kim! You haven’t lived until you’ve danced to How Many Licks by Lil’ Kim in a nightclub full of gays. This time they’re BACK for a bangin’ bank holiday bash and, due to the insane popularity of previous nights, they’ve got a bigger, roomier home at urban-chic nightlife haunt Trapeze in Old Street.

One of the biggest questions when preparing for R & She is…WHAT TO WEAR. Our advice is just go for it, don’t worry about looking ridiculous or appropriating cultures. WEAR WHAT YOU WANT! This is London, everything and everyone is on-trend. Although, it seems like the 90s are making a comeback, so wear a bandana! Wear bangles! Wear camouflage trousers! Chop up some Ashanti album artwork and stick it to your t-shirt with Pritt Stick. Actually, when we said wear anything, we didn’t completely mean it. Do NOT under any circumstances wear fluorescent v-neck t-shirts, or rosary beads, and DEFINITELY do not combine the two.

When you get to the *Wendy Williams voice* the CLUUUB, dive right in. Say high to DJs QBoy and Neil Prince, get yerselves a bevy (we advise a shot of tequila) and GET. DOWN. ON. IT.

NB: It’s really important that you bring photo ID! They’ll be checking everyone on the door and you don’t want to end up getting turned away (we haven’t told Michelle).

• R & She is on Saturday 28th May at Trapeze, 89 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HX. 11pm – 3:30am. £4 before 11pm, £7 after.
