We went to the opening of a sexual health shop, with the cast of a play called 5 Guys Chillin’. Why? Because we’re EDGY.
The stars of the hit play 5 Guys Chillin’ joined the Freedoms shop team in opening its first real-world shop at the Mortimer Market Centre in Capper Street. Mortimer Market Centre’s a great little clinic, the staff are really friendly and it’s got chilled, non-judgy vibes.
The shop brings together the best sexual health care and great value products for great sex! It’s the first of its kind to be based in a sexual health clinic and the first to sell condoms, lube and testing kits together under one roof.
It’s open to everyone, not just Mortimer Market Centre patients. The shop is already proving a hit with customers who like its bright, totes modern layout, and lots of good value stuff to help you along in the bedroom!
We asked 5 Guys Chillin’s Adi Chugh (the one wearing the least clothes) what we thought.
“I saw more brands, styles and package sizes of condoms at the Freedoms Shop than I have in any other store,” he said “and for amazing prices! 144 condoms for £15?!?”
“That’s 10p for a great quality branded condom. Unbelievable! And Freedom’s design and organization inside felt like I was on a James Bond set where’s Bond’s off to see Q’s new gadgets before a big adventure…just that these were weapons of mass seduction instead of destruction, preparing for a very happy time!”
The shop offers a wide range of condoms and lubes from Durex, Mates Skyn and Pasante and lubes by the award-winning brand ID, as well as Durex, Liquid Silk and LELO at affordable prices as well as staff who can offer expert condom advice.
Freedoms Shop Manager Tanya Percy said: “We’re a one stop-shop to great sexual health. It’s really easy to stop at our shop and pick up a bottle of liquid silk after you’ve had your check-up. It’s our aim to ensure you’re safe while having fun.”
“We’re always on the lookout for great new products. Recently we introduced the new LELO Hex condom which is a completely re-engineered for strength and sensation. Pop in and try them out!”
The Shop also exclusively stocks the new compact BioSure HIV test kit for £20, because it’s not always easy to access a sexual health service when you need to know your HIV status.
The shop is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am to 3.30pm on Fridays.
