Drag Idol UK 2023 is BACK and BIGGER THAN EVER! The official launch party is taking place at The Two Brewers, Clapham, on Thursday, 23rd February, at 8 pm and will be hosted by the face of Drag Idol UK, Son Of A Tutu (2011 Winner), with performances by:

Alex Fincher

2022 Finalist – Flick

2008 Winner – Tanya Hyde

2013 Winner – Martha D’Arthur

2019 Winner – Karla Bear

& Reigning Champion, 2022 Winner – Fatt Butcher

The competition is bigger than ever, with at least 27 host venues taking part in England, Scotland and Wales, where contestants will compete to represent their chosen venue on the national stages, culminating in a glorious grand final on 22nd June hosted by Son Of A Tutu! 

And this year, you’ll be able to keep up to date with competition news, regular reports, interviews and the odd live Q&A on Instagram (UKdragidol), Twitter (Dragidoluk) and Facebook (Drag Idol UK) – with Martha D’Arthur.

Drag Idol 2023

Drag Idol UK are looking for Drag Kings, Drag Queens, Gender Benders, Trans performers, Singers, Magicians, Balloon Modellers – the list is endless – no matter who you are or what you do, if you think you can entertain a crowd, show them what you’ve got! The Winner will receive a fully paid gig in each participating venue around the UK (that’s approximately £6750).

Previous winners include: Kelly Mild, Son Of A Tutu, Baga Chipz, LoUis CyFer, Felix Le Freak, Tracy Barlow, Tanya Hyde, Kevin Cruise, Mercedes and the Bendz, The Fleurettes, La Voix, Martha D’Arthur, Karla Bear, Miss Moppe and Danny Beard (current Drag Race UK champion!)

The launch party is open to all, and applications open the same day on 23rd February 2023 at www.dragidoluk.co.uk where you can find all rules, terms and conditions and information you need to know!
