Pride Month 10K Walk & Celebration – In aid of Motor Neurone Disease aims to celebrate Pride Month by bringing the LGBTQI+ community and our allies together for a day of fun, visibility, and togetherness.

Promoting physical activity and raise much-needed funds and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of West London

This year, to accommodate the growing number of participants and to officiate the opening of the annual Hammersmith Street Fair, the assembly point and the start of the 10k walk will be at Lyric Square in Hammersmith.

WLQP's Pride Month 10K Walk and Celebration - In aid of Motor Neurone Disease, 7 June 2025

Everyone is welcome to participate in the walk, which will follow scenic routes highlighting the natural beauty of West London.

Although fundraising is not mandatory, WLQP encourages participants to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (West London branch). You can do this by creating your own JustGiving page or entering the online raffle for a chance to win one of the many fabulous prizes donated by various West London businesses.

2024 Walk

The Route for the Pride Month 10K Walk

Participants will meet at Lyric Square in Hammersmith at 9 am for registration, followed by a warm-up session at 9:50 am before the walk begins promptly at 10 am

The route will take walkers across the iconic Hammersmith Bridge, along the south side of the river Thames. Participants will pass through the picturesque areas of Barnes and Mortlake before crossing Chiswick Bridge. The final stretch will take them through Dukes Meadows and Chiswick Mall, concluding at The Black Lion pub.

The route will be well-marked, with maps provided, and marshals will be positioned along the route to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

Pride Month is not just a celebration; it’s a powerful reminder of the battles fought, the voices that rose in defiance, and the ongoing journey toward equality, dignity, and love for all. Unfortunately, the current political environment sees the LGBTQ+ community once again being used as a political pawn with our rights becoming increasingly fragile, making this Pride Month ever more important. I hope that you can join us on 7 June as we come together to celebrate our solidarity and defiance, and whilst also raising some much-needed funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease.
