Dylan Jones’ roundup of new musics for people who listens to musics!

Icona Pop – Someone Who Can Dance

So the weather was BEAUTIFUL on Sunday, which probably no-one realised because it was the day after Sink The Pink and everyone was in ex-council flats with the curtains drawn, spilling Glen’s vodka on Sam Smith’s iPad.

I dragged myself out though, and stormed along Regent’s Canal wearing sunglasses and a bandana and listening to this absolute BANGER. I know I use the word ‘banger’ a lot, but never has it been more apt than for this BANGER! Icona Pop’s brand new single!

Although they actually released it like two years ago as an album track and now they’re releasing it as if it’s new material, but we’ll let them off. They’re probably tired from Sink The Pink too. It’s set to be a summer anthem I think. Major!

Ariana Grande – Be Alright

2016 shall henceforth be known as The Year Of Ariana Grande *whips ponytail, flutters eyelashes at camera*. SHE’S SO PERFECT.

All the notes. All the looks. All the feels. The latest Ariana Slay moment was her stint on SNL last week, with tongue firmly in perfectly contoured cheek. She did a flawless performance of her sultry new single Dangerous Woman, which makes me want to get on all fours on the coffee table at parties, followed by a BRAND NEW SONG, Be Alright!

I dunno when it’s out, but what I DO know, is that it’s possibly even more flawless than Dangerous Woman, and involves voguing backing dancers. Can’t go wrong with voguing backing dancers (well, you can actually. Ask Madonna).

Monarchy feat. Dita Von Teese – Disintegration

Now, Icona Pop and Ariana Grande are the only new music who deserve to be covered this week. The rest is all bollocks. So here’s an OLD track that you might not have heard of, but it’s a gorgeously vociferous slice of electropunk gorgeouness. Who knew Dita Von Teese sung eh?

Many strings to her thong. Monarchy are a great band, sort of Gary Numan meets Dead or Alive meets New Young Pony Club with a modern glampop twist. I’m gonna shut up now before I sound like a TOTAL wanker, but have a look at the video, it’s fierce;
