Recon’s Full Fetish event celebrates fetish in all its forms, from sports shorts fanatics to leather loving blokes. It returns this Bank Holiday Sunday to super-club Pulse. Cliff Joannou speaks to event manager, Antoin Strachan

How would you describe the Full Fetish experience?

Recon’s Full Fetish party is becoming more and more international. We’ve got parties in San Francisco, Chicago, Madrid, Cologne, London, Paris, Antwerp and Amsterdam. The crowd is very international and it’s nice that we have a consistent number of guys who travel for a good fetish party. Full Fetish is just that. It’s open to guys into many fetish dress codes: leather, rubber, sports kit, uniforms, suit & tie, skinhead, trackies, punks, etc… We only ask that whatever your fetish, that you be strict with your dresscode. It’s important to keep the integrity and nice to see people making an effort when they come out.

The venue is huge! What will the format be for the rooms?

We are taking the entire venue and it’s great because it gives a lot of scope to expand on the darkroom. The Bank Holiday May party will have 2 massive darkroom areas and I think it’s going to be our best yet.

What can we expect musically?

We’ve got four really great DJs playing the party. Progressive house with some tribal and electro beats. Awesome! The internationally renowned DJ Ariel will open the party, followed by two Full Fetish faves: Gordon John and Chris Brogan. Bad boy and rebel, Zack Hadley will keep us vibing to the end of the night.

It’s a great warm-up for this year’s Fetish Week event, too. Give us an overview of what we can look forward to in July.

Fetish Week is in its third year and it’s growing rapidly. There is a huge expectation from the international crowd of visitors and locals alike. We’ve got eight official events this year: Welcome Drinks; Sports Party; Fetish Week Official Dinner; Nexus Black Exxtreme – The Berlin Party; Skinhead Party; FULL FETISH; Rubber Party and Deconstruction, which is the closing party. There is definitely something for everyone. No matter what you’re into, Fetish Week London has got something for you. Get geared up and come out.
